This glossary includes key terminology, product features, and concepts to help guide you as you learn more about using EveryoneSocial.
Branded Content
Posts are considered branded if they meet one of two criteria.
- The post is a URL post and the URL is part of URL Tracking in Admin Settings.

Users assigned the Contributor and Admin roles and Group Owners and Group Moderators 🔗 can mark content as branded during post creation.
This content is filterable via reports and is considered more valuable for default Leaderboard points.
Clicks
Total number of clicks from shared content. This could be a click on the image shared, a click on a link, or a click on a URL.
Comments
Comments posted by other users. Learn more about engaging with posts.
Disclosures
Disclosures are required text to add to the end of share copy when users share a post. Companies often use disclosures for hashtags, such as #iworkforcompany. Active disclosures are available to add when creating or editing a post.
Once a disclosure is applied to a post, users must include it when sharing a post.
Discussions
Mobile menu item displaying a feed of conversations you are mentioned on or following.
Engagement
The sum of likes and comments on content hosted outside of EveryoneSocial.
External Action
Any action outside of your Workspace, such as posts or engagements on your social networks.
Groups
Workspace areas designed to create a space for specific audiences to post and share content, usually related to specific topics, locations, or teams. Learn more by visiting the Groups article.
Handle
A social media account's public username that can be used to mention and tag a profile on your post. Learn more about best practices using Hashtags.
Hashtag
A symbol used to connect posts on social media to other posts on the same subject or trending topic. Learn more about best practices using Hashtags.
Internal Action
Any action within your Workspace, such as posts and engagements.
Post
An internal piece of content, such as a link, text, or video.
Post Type
The type of content within the post designating how networks read the content. We have three Post Types at EveryoneSocial: Link Posts, Video/Image Posts, and Text Posts.
Reach
The total sum of LinkedIn, Twitter, and EveryoneSocial connections. Reach is updated every 24 hours to accurately reflect your networks' growth.
Reaction
User post and comment interactions, such as likes or reactions with an emoji. Learn more about engaging with posts.
Scheduler
A tool within EveryoneSocial that allows you to choose a future time and date to publish an internal or external post. Click here to learn how to use the Scheduler.
Segment
Segments serve as a user audience selector to specify audiences for other features within EveryoneSocial. Segments can be built using rules selecting user departments and locations, Groups and people followed, or a CSV email list. Learn how to create a user segment here.
Share
Content shared directly from EveryoneSocial to an external platform.
Share Copy
Written copy shared to a social network with a post from EveryoneSocial. In Analytics, this copy can be suggested copy that was added during the post's creation or it can be share copy the user wrote and shared.
Timeline
A personalized feed of posts available to review and share, based on Groups joined and team members followed.
Trend
A post or event with a popularity surge based on numerous engagements.
User
A profile account registered to a Workspace. Learn more about inviting users.
Workspace
A Workspace is the main instance you'll use with EveryoneSocial to post and share content and build your network and share expertise. Every company has its own Workspace that consists of Users, Groups, Leaderboards, etc. The account tour provides an overview of a typical Workspace.
