The Users Report seeks to answer the question, “How active are your users?” It provides data on your team’s actions inside EveryoneSocial and actions taken on posts your team shared to their networks. This article outlines how to pull the Users Report and defines its metrics.

🔹 This is available on the Teams and Enterprise plans.

🔸 This feature is accessible to Admin.

Access user analytics

  1. Go to Admin.
  2. Select Analytics > Users.

You’ll arrive at the Users Analytics dashboard, which displays an overview of your team and their actions.

Data points include

  • Registered Users: This chart displays active and inactive users within the selected date range.
  • Activity by Day: This graph displays active and inactive users for each day of the selected date range.
  • Name: Team member’s name.
  • Type: Role assigned to the team member. 
  • Created On: Date the team member joined the Workspace.
  • Onboarded: "True" if the user has joined the Workspace and connected to social networks.
  • Last Active: Date the team member was last active.
  • Reach: Total connections for a person’s connected social networks, plus the sum of followers within EveryoneSocial.
  • Posts: Number of times the person published a post.
  • Shares: Number of times the person shared a post.
  • Clicks: Number of clicks received from that member's shares

Report filters

Dashboard and downloadable reports will only display data that meet the selected filters and time frame.

Date, Department, and Location filters are available. Filters work on an "or" basis. For example, the image below shows data within the last 30 days from users in the "Engineering" Department or located in "Chicago.”

Remove filters by clicking the X next to a department or location or clicking Clear Filters.

Download a report

Each Analytics section has the option to download a CSV report. Click the icon to make a request, and a notification will present when the file is ready for download. Click the notification to download the report as a CSV file. The option to download the report will expire after 25 hours.

 

Reports and metrics

You can download two user reports: Users Internal Engagement and Users External Activity

Users Internal Engagement

This report contains quantitative metrics for actions team members take inside EveryoneSocial.

  • comments_created: Number of comments the user made.
  • comments_received: Number of comments received on the user's posts.
  • created_at: Date the user joined EveryoneSocial.
  • department: Assigned departments in a Group's or profile's settings.
  • email: Email associated with the user profile.
  • first_invite: Date the first invitation email was sent.
  • group_moderators: Number of Moderators the user assigned to Groups.
  • groups_created: Number of Groups created by the user.
  • groups_followed: Number of Groups the user is considered a member of.
  • invites_accepted: Number of invitations the user sent that was accepted and resulted in onboarded users.
  • invites_created: Number of invitations the user has sent.
  • is_suspended: "True" if Admin added suspended status under user management settings.
  • last_invite: Date the user sent the most recent invitation email for someone to join.
  • last_seen_at: Last known time an action took place by the user, based on 30-minute intervals after a period of inactivity.
  • location: Assigned location on a user's profile.
  • name: First and last name of the user.
  • new_[post type]_posts_created: Number of post types the user created during the reporting period.
  • new_comments_created: Number of comments the user made during the reporting period.
  • new_comments_received: Number of comments received on the user's posts during the reporting period.
  • new_group_moderators: Number of Moderators the user assigned to Groups during the reporting period.
  • new_groups_created: Number of Groups created during the reporting period.
  • new_groups_followed: Number of Groups the user became a member of during the reporting period.
  • new_reactions_created: Number of reactions/emojis the user applied to posts during the reporting period.
  • new_reactions_received: Number of reactions/likes received on the user's posts during the reporting period.
  • new_shares_received: Number of times the user's posts were shared by other users during the reporting period.
  • new_users_followed: Number of team members the user began to follow during the reporting period.
  • new_users_following: Number of users who began to follow the user during the reporting period.
  • onboarding completed: User has a profile with connected accounts.
  • reactions_created: Number of likes the user applied to posts.
  • reactions_received: Number of likes received on the user's posts.
  • total_[post type]_posts_created: Number of post types the user created.
  • total_invites: Total number of times an invitation email was sent.
  • total_shares_received: Number of times the user's posts were shared by other users
  • user_id: ID associated with the user profile.
  • user_status: Status assigned to a user in relation to billing status: active and inactive.
  • user_type: Role assigned to the user profile.
  • users_followed: Number of users a user profile follows.
  • users_following: Number of users following the user profile.

Users External Activity

This report contains quantitative metrics for actions generated by posts shared by individual users on your team.

  • [network]_clicks: Total clicks made on a post shared to a network.
  • [network]_clicks_per_share: Average number of clicks per share made on a post shared to a network.
  • [network]_connected: Status of a network's connection to the user's profile.
  • [network]_engagements: Total engagements made on a post shared to a network.
  • [network]_engagements_per_share: Number of engagements per share made on a post shared to a network.
  • [network]_reach: Number of reach the user's network profile has.
  • [network]_shares: Total number of posts shared to a network by a user.
  • [post type]_clicks: Total clicks made on a post shared to a network.
  • [post type]_clicks_per_share: Number of clicks per share made on a post shared to a network.
  • [post type]_engagements: Total engagements made on a post shared to a network.
  • [post type]_engagements_per_share: Number of engagements per share made on a post shared to a network.
  • [post type]_shares: Total number of post types shared to a network by a user.
  • branded_[network]_clicks: Total clicks made on a branded post shared to a network; leaderboard report does not include clipboard and email as networks.
  • branded_[network]_clicks_per_share: Average number of clicks per share made on a branded post shared to a network.
  • branded_[network]_comments: Number of times a user received a comment on a network share from a branded post.
  • branded_[network]_engagements_per_share: Average number of engagements per share made from a branded post being shared to a network.
  • branded_[network]_likes: Total times a user received a like on a network share from a branded post.
  • branded_twitter_retweets: Number of times a tweet was retweeted on Twitter from a branded post shared to Twitter.
  • branded_[network]_shares: Total shares made on a branded post shared to a network.
  • branded_[post type]_clicks: Total clicks made on a network share from a branded post.
  • branded_[post type]_clicks_per_share: Average number of clicks made on a network share from a branded post.
  • branded_[post type]_engagements: Total engagements made on a network share from a branded post.
  • branded_[post type]_engagements_per_share: Average number of engagements per network share from a branded post.
  • branded_[post type]_shares: Total number of network shares from branded posts a user shared.
  • branded_engage_[network]_actions: Total times someone clicked "Engage" on branded engageable posts.
  • created_at: Date the user joined EveryoneSocial.
  • department: Assigned departments in a Group's or profile's settings.
  • email: Email associated with the user profile.
  • last_seen_at: Last known time an action took place by the user, based on 30 minute intervals after a period of inactivity.

  • non_branded_[network]_engagements_per_share: Percentage of engagements/per share made on a non-branded post shared to a network.
  • non_branded_[network]_likes: times a user received a like on a non-branded network post.
  • non_branded_twitter_retweets: Number of times a user's tweet from a non-branded post was retweeted on Twitter.
  • non_branded_[network]_shares: Total shares made on a non-branded post shared to a network.
  • non_branded_[post type]_clicks: Total clicks made on a branded post shared to a network.
  • non_branded_[post type]_clicks_per_share: Average number of clicks per shared post.
  • non_branded_[post type]_engagements: Total engagements made on a branded post shared to a network.
  • non_branded_[post type]_engagements_per_share: Average number of engagements per shared post.
  • non_branded_[post type]_shares: Total shares made on a branded post shared to a network.
  • non_branded_engage_[network]_actions: Total actions taken on non-branded engageable posts.
  • profile_url: URL to go to the user's profile.
  • total_branded_clicks: Total branded clicks received on posts shared by the user.
  • total_branded_engagements: Total engagements received on branded posts shared by the user.
  • total_branded_shares: Total branded posts shared by the user. 
  • total_clicks: Total clicks received on posts shared by the user.
  • total_engagements: Total engagements received on posts shared by the user.
  • total_non_branded_engagements: Total non-branded engagements received on posts shared by the user.
  • total_non_branded_shares: Total non-branded posts shared by the user.
  • total_non-branded_clicks: Total clicks received on non-branded posts shared by the user.
  • total_reach: Total reach of all of the user's connected social profiles, plus the total number of users who follow the users in EveryoneSocial.
  • total_shares: Total posts shared by the user.
  • user_id: ID associated with the user profile.
  • user_status: Status assigned to a user in relation to billing status: active and inactive.
  • user_type: Role assigned to the user profile.

Users Internal Engagement

Drive more engagement with your program based on actionable insights. 

🔹 Reach out to top content contributors to see if they want to be Group Moderators.

🔹 Identify and reach out to inactive user segments via a re-engagement campaign.

🔹 Reach out to team leads of highly inactive teams to encourage them.

🔹 Reach out to team leads of high-performing teams to highlight success.

Users External Activity

Create success stories from successful users, give them public recognition, and use their stories to teach and inspire low-performers.

Highlight successful sharers and get user feedback and success stories.

🔸 Do they do a good job mixing branded content and non-branded content?

🔸 Do they do a good job sharing with specific networks?

🔸 Do they mix in different kinds of content, i.e. post types?

🔸 Do they do a good job of not over-sharing?

Identify, segment, and engage low performers for a “Best Practice Refresher.”
